Description

Established in February 1992 when 14 citizens met for the purpose of saving the Lewisburg Train Depot after it was feared to be sold at auction. Since its inception in 1992, the Historical Society restored a 1918 B&O Caboose and also renovated the H. E. Singer Blacksmith Shop.

There is a train depot / museum and caboose at the Lewisburg Historical Society sight. Underground mine tours are also offered from mid-September through the end of October.
